album collection CD box set complete rare Space Oddity Outer box
which was only available at Disc Union Tokyo for a short period of
time. Also includes the Ziggy Stardust, Let's Dance and Low inner
picture boxes, plus a limited edition bonus box from Toshiba which
was only available to Japanese fans who had pre-ordered the entire
back catalogue of reissues. Comprises Space Oddity, The Man Who
Sold The World, Hunky Dory, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, Pin Ups,
Diamond Dogs, Young Americans, Station To Station, Low, Heroes,
Lodger, Scary Monsters, Let's Dance, Tonight, Never Let Me Down and
Tin Machine. Each CD is completely NEW and SEALED in its respective
LP-replica sleeve with obi-strip + the VERY RARE 'Space Oddity'
OUTER picture box to hold ALL seventeen albums, along with the
bonus Toshiba box and plus a complete set of replica obi-strips. This

I own a copy of the 7" 33rpm of Moonage DayDream & Hang onto yourself on one side & Man in the Middle on the flip side. BC records/Titanic Music, CB 200. It is in literally pristine condition, ( just played it) in a sleeve, not original & no cover. I also have 3 33s, Let's Dance, Absolute Beginners & Hunky Dory. All in great condition in sleeves & original covers. And more.... I also own an original Ziggy Stardust poster from the movie release. Not bad shape, ( little wrinkled along the sides). Along with that I have a huge 40"x55" Aladin Sane mural. That was never opened. And last, a lithograph, ( copy of I believe) 1987 done & signed by Gary A...something..... can't make out his last name. I also, sorry to repeat myself, have half dozen buttons from some of his concerts. Don't really remember the oldest one,( couldn't afford the t-shirts, though I have one of them) but know I have one of those passes from Heathen,also. I think the t-shirt is from Sound & Vision tour. I know it's LARGE, because it was too big for me to wear.
Now that I've bored most of you, those who may be interested in all or part of this collection, let me know! Make me an offer & see what we can come up with.

Toshiba-EMI limited edition glossy picture box designed to house the
17 album 'Paper Sleeve Collection' set of CD albums in mini LP-style
card picture sleeves. In order to receive the box, Japanese fans had
to pre-order the entire back catalogue of reissues from Space Oddity
through to Tin Machine. This 5½ x 5½ x 3¼" box has one open side,
the other sides are illustrated with the front featuring an early black &
white image of David on stage with a guitar and one leg in the air, the back has a black & white montage image of the artwork for the albums in the collection. The copy we offer is in beautiful, pristine MINT condition!)

I have what I believe to be a rare copy of the above. EIL says that it should have a white label but mine is pink/orange. Label Mercury, SR 61325, and everything else is as per EIL's description including the stamped matrices. Any info from anyone as to value would be appreciated as I am willing to sell.

The first pressing of this release was withdrawn when Sony realised Bowie's name had been misspelled, as "David Bow", on the spine of the card sleeve. They also sent replacement sleeves to identified purchasers and asked them to return the misprint. | [reply to this topic] |

As a David Bowie fanatic I am constantly perusing your fine site to look at items
to acquire in the near future, but today I noticed an erroneous listing-you list
BOWC5ZI169678 as a promotional CD, but it's not.
In reality it is a replacement CD (hence the company designation as BEEBREP 2).
To quote:
"The first batch of CDs had a mispressing of CD2, as it included 'Ziggy Stardust' from the 16-05-72 session twice (rather than from the 18-01-72 and 16-05-72 sessions). EMI corrected the matter by sending out a replacement disc (EMI BEEBREP 2) with just the missing track."

Additionally I own a copy of this CD and it is accompanied by a slip of paper from:
EMI Records Group UK & Ireland
EMI House, 43 Brook Green

Addtionally it does not bear any indication of being a "Promotional Disc" (either a sticker or printing on the disc itself), that usually emblazons such discs.
I bring this up so that you can have the correct data for all of your fine DB items.
