I saw A-ha live for the first time in 2005 and was impressed to say the least. I have been scouring the web since then waiting for that tour to come out on DVD or CD so that I can re live it all over again.
It was quite by accident that I came across this particular gem as it was never released in the UK. Although a bit more expensive than an ordinary double CD it was definately worth the extra money.
Unlike some bands who sound exactly the same live as they do on their albums, A-ha don't. There is more of a rocky edge to the tracks and their early songs have never sounded better.
Morten's vocals shine through even more in the live arena than they do on the studio albums and on a couple of tracks you can't help but think how on earth can he hit and hold certain notes for so long!
If you have never heard A-ha live, some of the new arrangements of your old A-ha favourites will take you by surprise the first time you hear them. By the time you get to the second or third listening you will hardly notice and be singing along just as before :-)
CD1 is approximately 76mins long
CD2 is approximately 26mins long excluding the Enhanced Video Footage
